What we do
We work from your actual project: the plans, the specifications, the fixture schedule. We don’t install. We handle the product, pricing, and coordination side so the lighting package works.
Commercial lighting quotations
Fixture takeoffs from your plans and schedule, pricing across multiple manufacturers, and a quotation you can put in a bid. Alternates priced alongside the spec when you want them.
Specification and fixture review
We go through the plans, specifications, and schedules and check the fixture requirements before anything gets priced, so problems show up early instead of at submittal.
Value engineering
When the lighting number is too high, we go fixture by fixture looking for better cost, availability, or lead time while keeping the design intent. Not dropping in cheaper products and hoping for the best.
Fixture crossovers
We match specified fixtures with appropriate alternates and lay them out side by side, so the architect, engineer, or owner can review and approve them.
Retrofit and replacement
For existing buildings with fluorescent, metal halide, or HPS lighting. We identify the right LED replacements, help with Evergy rebates in Kansas, and manage the project.
Project support
Pricing, product data, revisions, submittals, manufacturer communication, and order tracking through delivery. One point of contact the whole way.

What it costs
There’s no cost to look at your project. Once it moves into takeoff and specification work, there are two ways to handle it.
Project fee
We charge a fee for the takeoff, specification work, and reworked schedule. You get the full package and buy from whoever you want.
Purchase through us
Buy through Lighting Reworks and the project fee is credited toward your order. Same work, and the fee goes toward the product.

Lighting Reworks is Pal’s House, LLC. We’ve worked on commercial lighting out of Lawrence, Kansas since 2010.
The work is the same as it’s always been: reading plans, building fixture takeoffs, pricing across manufacturers, finding alternates that hold up to review, and seeing projects through delivery.
We work with contractors, architects, engineers, and building owners on new construction, retrofits, and rebate projects. We’re not tied to one manufacturer, so when we recommend a fixture, it’s because it fits the project.
